“He shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel”

This is a quote from Genesis 3:14-15 (KJV) , which I would like to share below:

“And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel”

In the passage of scriptures above, God addresses the Serpent, who deceived the woman into eating the forbidden fruit. God said, there would be perpetual warfare between the woman’s seed and the seed of the serpent. The seed of the woman will bruise serpent’s head and the serpent will bruise his heel.

The Conflict

The Serpent

The serpent that was and now is according to Revelation 12:9 is

“And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”

The serpent of Genesis chapter 3, is the great dragon, the devil and Satan of Revelation 12:9. He took a third part of the angels with him in the fall. These demonic creatures are committed to carrying out his will, See Luke 11:14-26

Revelation 12:3, (KJV) describes his conquests

“And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his head.”

Seven heads describes his dominion. We know this is true because according to Luke 4:5 (KJV) when Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness, Satan offered Jesus power over the nations of this world

“And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”

The seven horns represents the Serpent’s conquests over humanity. He is worshipped on the seven continents of the earth: Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Antarctica, and Australia. Seven crowns upon his head describes his rule as complete.

According to Revelation 12:9, he deceives the whole world, from his former throne said to be on high mountain top.

The Serpent cast out to the earth

According to Revelation 12:12 (KJV), after he saw that he was cast out of his position and down to the earth, he is full of rage because knows his time is short.

“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down to you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”

The Serpent knows his time is short. He is on a mission to kill as many people as he can.

The Process of Time

The process of time as in seed time harvest is how you crush the head of the serpent. There are a couple of things we need to know that was part of his judgment in Genesis 3:15.

-The Serpent is cursed more than all creation.

-The Serpent was cursed to crawl on his belly in state of perpetual humiliation.

-The Serpent shall eat dust all the days of his existence which speaks of his defeat

-The Serpent gained seed

The Heel of man bruised

According to Genesis 4:1-15; In the process of time, as in Seed time Harvest. Cain and Abel offers up a sacrificial offering to God in worship. Cain’s offering was rejected and Abel’s offering was accepted.

Cain become angry and depressed. God explained to Cain why his offering was rejected. God said, ‘if you do that which right will you not be accepted.’ The issue is righteousness, doing what God requires. The accepted sacrificial offering had changed from a fruit based offering to a blood sacrifice. They knew what was required. God created the sacrificial system. All things were made by him and for his pleasure (Hebrew 3:4 & Revelation 4:11).

Cain refused to obey. God said to Cain,

“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.” Genesis 4:7

The issue was about giving God what he wanted

The issue between Cain and Abel was in the matter of their sacrificial offerings. Cain gave a fruit offering. Abel gave a blood sacrifice in the form the firstlings of his flock. God rejected Cain’s sacrifice but he accepted Abel’s sacrifice. Hebrews 11:4, points this out:

“By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speakers.” Hebrews 11:4 (KJV)

God said to Cain, Sin desires you. Sin is at the door waiting for you. God said to Cain sin is waiting on you BUT you must MASTER IT.

If you refuse to do what is right in terms of the sacrifice, giving God what he ask for; whatever you give is rejected. What is the sacrifice today, Read John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

That is the terms, believing with the heart, confessing with the mouth faith in Jesus Christ. The blessing is Eternal Life. Eternal Life is blessing of God upon the works of your hands.

But instead of coming to God, people are buying sacrifices to “other gods”. They are depending other sources

Cain was probably angry because his brother was prospering and he wasn’t. So in a jealous rage he killed his brother.

How do you MASTER SIN? By giving the right sacrifice! it’s in the works of your hands and the fruit of your lips. The works of your hands should honor God in all you do. The fruit of your lips is in giving thanksgiving to his name. We are called to live our lives as a living sacrifice, Romans 12:1. We are also called to honor God with tithes and offerings.

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of his lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15

Crushing the head of the Serpent

“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: for God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.” Genesis 4:25 (KJV)

Eve acknowledged that God appointed her seed in place of Abel whom Cain killed.

“And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.” Genesis 4:26

Seth took the place of Abel. Seth gave birth to a son name Enos. In the days of Enos, men began to call on the name of the LORD. Seth birth evidently started a revival in the days of Enos. As you go deeper in the generations of Seth, you will get to Noah, whom God uses to save the human race. Through Noah’s obedience, you will see the original curse on the land in Genesis 3:17 removed in Genesis 8:20-22. So you see, the serpent bruised their heel, that is the place of their dominion but as man exerts righteousness by doing what God requires, he crushes the head of the serpent.

We need to establish the fact that Cain was a seed of the Serpent. Go to 1 John 3:11-12

“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.” 1 John 3:11-12 (KJV)

There is an ongoing battle, where the Serpent bruises the place of the seed’s dominion through work of his children. The seed of the woman crushes the head of the serpent. The symbol of the heel represents the place of your dominion. The symbol of the head represents the place of the serpent dominion. Something happened in the days of Enos, because men began to call upon the name of the LORD. The Serpents dominion was broken.

The process of Sin

Sin is waiting for all of us. Sin desires us. But God says, you shall rule over “him.” Mastering sin becomes a choice. Sin is a refusal to obey God. Sin seeks to alienate us from God. Sin is manifested when we seek other things for peace and fulfillment. The choice could be drugs, sex, money, entertainment, etc…

Jesus crushed the head of the Serpent

In Revelation 1:18, Jesus said,

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

Again, 1 John 3:8-9

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”

The nature of the battle

Our warfare is not with flesh and blood according to Ephesians 6:11-13,

Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (KJV)

“And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ” Revelation 12:17 (KJV)

The battle lines are becoming more defined, as spiritual wickedness in high places are manipulating rules, regulations and policies that strip people of their independence. The seed of the serpent is manifesting the healthcare industry. The healthcare industry considers themselves as your “Provider.” Don’t become dependent on that system because when your healthcare exceeds their willingness to paid your medical bills, you will be left at the mercy of the insurance companies.

Another field that is presently being deeply impacted is law enforcement. Law enforcement is or will be no longer able to protect us from a natural standpoint. That field is becoming increasingly compromised. It will be weakened to the point that it will become useless through fear of lawsuits and prison time for officers who try to enforce the law.

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God” Psalms 146:3-5 (KJV)

“For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” Romans 16:19-20

Are you making the right sacrifice?

What is in your hands?
