Detroit is the probably the most dangerous city to serve as a police officer. In my 22 years of service as a police chaplain, the most gut wrenching was going to the hospital after an officer was shot in the line of duty. There are no words to describe the utter terror that follows in those events. Most of all those shootings happened at night.
And yet, they keep lining up for service. I’ve been there when only two scout cars patrol a whole precinct at night. When the force was dealing with budget cuts. When it was a battle between the command staff and those who patrol the streets.
The criminal element, the children of darkness, the wicked ones are advancing on all fronts, even in the church. The battle is spiritual and it is raging. Satan has taken off his mask! The wicked people are honored in society.
Prayer points:
-Pray for a strong blue line š š
-Take your eyes off of people, place or things. Focus on the cause, the purpose
-The most effective, most powerful prayer you can pray is, asking God to expose the darkness. That God would out the leaders and workers of darkness.
-Bring exposure; manifest your light in dark places, John 1:5; Ephesians 5:11-13; 2 Corinthians 4:6
