What Satan’s fears most

These three truths come from Revelation chapter 12:1-17.

1. Satan knows his time is short, Revelation 12:12. He is cast out of heaven down to earth. He is ferious because his days are numbered. A thousand year prison sentence is in his very near future, according to Revelation 20:2-3, where a mighty angel will come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and great chain in his hand. This angel will capture Satan and bound him, casting him into the bottomless pit where he will be imprisoned 1,000 years.

2. Satan has to bow his knee to those he once ruled over, Revelation 12:10-11. The redeemed overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. JESUS has been exalted to the right hand of God until all his enemies are made his footstool, Philippians 2:9-11; Romans 14:11 and Isaiah 45:23.

3. Satan fears those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus, according to Revelation 12:17. Luke 10:17-20 tells us what happened with the good news was preached by Jesus’ disciples

“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
