I received a Costco credit card offer from Citi Bank with a variable interest rate of 20.24% based on the prime rate of 8.25%. Citi Bank adds 11.99% to determine their Purchase APR.

I enjoy reading credit card offers. It reminds me of the blessings that Gid worked in my life. Interest rates have drastically increased since I got my first card back in the 80s.

I struggled with credit card debt over the years mainly because I developed a lifestyle around using credit cards. I managed to pay the card off only to get caught back up in debt.

I have paid thousands and thousands of dollars in interest payments over the years.

The debt kept climbing higher and higher until I reached the limit of what they offered. I would call customer service begging for credit increase.

The breakthrough came for me when I made a no surrender quality decision that I would not ever get back into debt. That’s when I came out of debt.

There have been situations where things broke down, for example, like my water heater, clothes washer & dryer, refrigerator, car repairs and maintenance, new tires for the car, car insurance increases every year, birthday presents, mother’s day, etc…

I learned that I desperately needed an emergency savings account to cover these costs. I have several savings accounts to act as my storage houses. In good seasons, when money flows, I put money into these accounts for big ticket items.

God’s Vision

Philippians 4:19 says, “My God shall supply all my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

God had a vision for creation. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He needed a man to till the ground, Genesis 2:5. He created a man from dust of the earth and committed the vision into his hands and said, to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion over all the earth.”

In Genesis 1:28-29, God gave Adam provision in that he gave him seed and fruit bearing trees. The word, “provision”, is an interesting word, the prefix, “pro” means, “for something, a promise.” In other words, seed is pro-vision. It is for the vision.

I have written before, ‘all seed is supernatural in that it is a blueprint for life.” One tiny seed has the potential of multiplying millions of times to produce meat, plants, vegetables, fruits… a water mellon seed or a tomato seed.

The scriptures said Abraham was as good as dead when God made a promise to give him a seed. God gave Abraham and Sarah a seed, Isaac, in their old age, and he became a nation as numerous as the stars of heaven.

God has a vision for creation, for our prosperity and blessings. The scriptures are full of vision for creation. He gives seed to the sower and bread for our food, and he multiplies the seed we sow!

The Bible is a continuous revelation

God wants us to know his will, which is manifested in his goodness toward us. The heavens are a revelation of his power. Creation is a revelation of his greatness.

But there are dark forces in the world system that seek to make us slaves. Their goal is to produce Satan’s vision for humanity. Rather, it comes in the form of fentanyl, debt, pornography…
