“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
According to Ephesians 2:1-2, Satan is the prince of the power of the air. The spirit that works in and through the children of darkness.
The prince of power of the air is another title for Satan, which is to say, he is the ruler, chief influencer of culture.
Jesus said Satan is a liar and father of it. He is a murderer. Jesus said Satan was a murderer from the beginning – John 8:44.
Genesis 4:8 records the first murder that was committed; Cain killed his brother Abel.
The apostle John (1 John 3:12) said the reason why Cain killed Abel was because he was of the Wicked One, and his works were evil. Satan had access to his heart.
This is the same thing that happened to Judas, who betrayed Jesus at the passover meal, see John 13:27 & Luke 22:3; Satan entered into Judas.
How was Satan able to enter into Judas? Satan had access to his heart. Judas was a thief. He had been stealing money that was entrusted to him.
Satan convinced Judas to sell Jesus to the temple priest for 30 pieces of silver. So Satan killed two for 30 pieces of silver. Judas committed suicide.
What Satan didn’t know, God set him up. He actually fell into the greatest setup for a comeback
He had no legal right to murder the prince of life! If the princes of this world had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory (1 Corinthians 2:8).
It was through his cross that he destroyed Satan and stripped his princes of their power. Colossians 2:13-15 & Hebrews 2:14-15. 1 John 3:8, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the Devil.
Although Satan may temporarily be the god of this world, the prince of the power of the air, the prince of this world’s system, he is not my God, my prince or my lord and King. I have been redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is LORD!
Grace & peace!
