“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.” Psalms 118:8-9 (KJV)
We are living a very dangerous day in which the government wants to be the answer to mankind problems.
People are demanding the government be the answer to their problems. People have cut themselves off from receiving from heaven. They have more faith in their doctors, employers, pension plans, and banks.
When trusting God works for your good
Trusting in God works for your good when you know how to receive from him. Some people only reach out to God when there is no hope. It is better to develop a lifestyle of trusting God. Listen to advice in the book of Proverbs:
“Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; but ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; when your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: for that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: they would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.” Proverbs 1:23-31 (KJV)
I needed a new roof and gutters on my house. I was desperate, and I turned to the credit union to borrow the money. The credit union denied the loan. Someone’s delinquent Time Warner cable bill was placed on my credit report by error, which was the primary reason that caused me to be denied a loan.
Being denied this loan was a blessing because over the next two years, I was able to save $12,000. I paid off my mortgage five years in advance and paid off my credit card. I am debt free. But the most amazing thing happened as I was saving money to put a new roof on my house; an unexpected money miracle came through, which put me in the position to pay for a new roof, repairs on the house, new gutters, suffixes, and I got the roof encased in aluminum, paid for in full in cash, owning nothing to man!
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” Psalms 146:3 (KJV)
Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God.” Psalms 146:5 (KJV)
Being denied a loan was a blessing! I had stood in faith and prayed for the finances to come in! But nothing changed until I began to act on my faith by saving money and by getting out of debt. It started by doing what I could do. I could save $5.00. I could pay extra on my credit card.
I remember hearing the LORD speak to my heart. He said, ‘Why are you waiting to pay your credit card on the due date? Why don’t you pay something every day? That suggestion started my drive to pay off $11,000 in 4 months.
The best is coming! We are in this limited time where God is about to manifest his glory on the earth through those who trust him, the scriptures called these manifested sons of God!
“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departed from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when hold cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.” Jeremiah 17:5-6 (KJV)

God made a contract with man. He blessed the first man and woman. He made them recipients of the works of his hands. He made all things, and without him, there was not anything made that was made (John 1:1-4). He created prosperity. Prosperity honors God!
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 (KJV)
