The devastation of California fires is a drop in the bucket compared to the fires about to be released against the Babylonia system.
It appears judgment is breaking out in many parts of the world.
“And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.” Revelation 18:10 (KJV)
For in One Hour
“For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off. And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!” Revelation 18:17-18 (KJV)
The God Factor
The God factor is seen especially in times of judgment: the flood in Noah’s day, the overthrow of Sodom and Gorromorah, the ten plagues of Egypt in Moses’s time, the destruction of the Egyptian army in the Red Sea, and the angel of the LORD slaughtering 185,000 men in the night, 2 Kings 19:35.
Strong is the Lord God who judges her, Revelation 18:8
God is not judging people. He is judging a system called Babylon the Great, the Queen of heaven.
Three groups of people who reaped tremendous wealth from the system will suffer great loss.
Three groups of people will suffer the most: kings of the earth, merchants and great men. The people who invested in it will lose all their wealth.
A shakening is coming
It is manifesting all over the earth, from fires to floods. The earth is being shaken.
But we have received a kingdom that cannot be moved. It operates on different principles. The world system is driven by the worship of money. The kingdom of God is driven by worship.
One group who will suffer needless loss is the people of God because they did not heed God’s warnings
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4 (KJV)
The upside to this judgment is also the saddest part
The upside to this judgment is the kingdom (system) of darkness will be destroyed. It will become a prison for every hateful bird, Revelation 18:2 (KJV).
The saddest part is that people could have been spared sorrows, but because they are deeply invested in the world’s system, they will suffer much loss.
As a minister for over 35 years, the saddest part of ministry is that the people of God have not benefited from being heirs of the kingdom of God, James 2:5 (KJV).
One reason for this loss is that they valued the things of this world over the things of the kingdom of God.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. People were not entirely convinced of God’s promises.
The promise is life, everlasting life. They never understood eternal life. Eternal life is not something get when we get to heaven. It is an event or an age.
Life
As revealed in Genesis 2:7, God first formed Adam from the dust of the ground. At this point, Adam was made of mud until God breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, which is when man became a living soul.
In John 6:51, Jesus compares it to manna, living bread.
In John 7:37, Jesus compares it to rivers of living water.
Life is divine sustenance. In John 4:13-14, Jesus said, the gift of God is like a well of living water springing up that quenches every thirst.
Isaiah 55:1-5, God offers the gift apart from money and labor!
“Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.” Isaiah 55:2 (KJV)
The promise
Joh 10:10, Jesus said, ‘The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly!’
Life is transformational! See Isaiah 55:9-13.
It was evident in Jesus’s ministry. He healed everyone who came to him, cast out devils, and bore the sins of the world.
The apostle Paul, 1 Timothy 6:12, says to fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.
