What is the God Factor?
God created all things for his pleasure and purposes, Revelation 4:12
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure, they are and were created.”
Man’s arrogance assumes they have the power to determine the outcome. However, life can take unseen twists and turns.
Sin reached fullness in Egypt. God said, let my people go!
The first plague, turning the waters of the Nile River into blood, was enough to accomplish God’s will to deliver the Children of Israel out of Egypt. Pharaoh was willing to let the people go.
BUT God hardened Pharoah’s heart
The second plague was an increase in frogs. The river brought forth an abundance of frogs, which entered their houses, bedrooms, beds, the houses of Pharaih’s employees, the citizens of Egypt, ovens, and kneading bowls.
Frogs invaded Egypt and were everywhere, in everything. As the frogs began to die, the stench of rotten frog carcasses saturated the land. Pharaoh was willing to let the people go (Exodus 8:8), but God again hardened his heart.
Frogs in our midst
The Bible doesn’t say how long the frogs stayed in the land of Egypt. But we know it was long enough to break the will of Pharaoh.
Grace & peace!
