God hides his plans!

1 Corinthians 2:8 says if the princes of this world had known the aftermath of crucifying Christ; they would not have done it.

It’s a judgment

Great Babylon came into remembrance before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Revelation 17:16

“And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. FOR God hath put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled”

For the Merchants Class

“And the fruit that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing. Revelation 18:14-15

James 5:1-3

“Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.”

There will be no recovery

There will be an angel who proclaims

“And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.” Revelation 18:2

We will probably see a global depression like the Great Depression of 1929. This will probably lead to the coming of a great world leader whom the whole world will worship.
