Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above in whom there is no variableness, or a shadow of turning.
Jesus said, ‘If we, being evil, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more shall our heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask.’
Jesus said, “ASK, and it shall be GIVEN, SEEK, and you shall FIND. KNOCK and the door shall be OPENED.”
It takes effort on part to be able to receive. Sometimes, all it takes is asking. Other times seeking. Still, other times, being persistent in pursuing the answer.
Dominion
One of the gifts that comes through the Gift of the Holy Spirit is the gift of healing.
I have been healed in my financial life. I have been healed and delivered from debt.
A large portion of my life, I accomplished goals through credit cards. I got caught in the trap of becoming dependent on charging whatever I needed on a credit card.
At one point in my life, the only loan I could get to buy a car was through Road Loans, which had an interest rate of 16%.
The next car I bought, I got it through my Credit Union for a loan at 2% interest. I walked into the dealership with cashier check from the credit union and purchased a car. The dealership considered the purchase to be a cash payment. A paid off the loan from the Credit Union ahead of time.
Today, I am debt free, and owe no man, anything.
I caught the vision that God originally created for us Genesis, chapters 1-3.
My next car will be paid in cash because I believe God will provide. I am sowing seed and saving money toward that goal.
It doesn’t matter how much money you can put aside. It’s faith in the process. Seed time Harvest.
The gifts are meant to restore Dominion. The gift of eternal life, the gift of righteousness and abundance of grace.
Value the Gifts
There is nothing wrong with gifts. The gifts are good. The gifts are perfect. The gifts of God work. The gifts and callings of God are with repentance. There is no variability with God. There is no changing of his heart.
You have to know how to receive the promises! Sarah, Abraham’s wife, was barren all her life. At the age of ninety, God promised her that she would conceive and bring forth a son. Sarah could have said, ‘I’ve been barren all my life.’ She had every right to be disappointed, but she judged God faithful. She received strength in old age to bring forth a son.
Make the most of what’s been given to you!
An inheritance has been given, Colossians 1:12 and Ephesian 1:18. Most Believers in Christ don’t know this reality.
Jesus said, “The children of this world are wiser in their generation than the children of light.”
Jesus made this statement in reference to the unfaithful steward in the parable of Luke 16:18, who used resources entrusted to him for his own profit and that of his employer, bringing in money that caught up in the marketplace.
Grace & peace!
