When I was a police chaplain, I was dispatched to scenes like in this news article. Senseless murders.
God views these killings as an attack against Himself because man was created in God’s image:
Genesis 9:6, “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.”
The evil in the land requires a sacrifice, especially a baby sacrifice
The prince of the power of the air works in the children of disobedience, Ephesians 2:1-2
The prince of the power of the air is a title and job description. Satan is the prince of the power of the air. Satan is the ruling authority over cites, states, and nations. He rules through culture. He inspires culture.
God exposes this system
Revelation 17, “Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.”
This system gives birth to all that is wicked. Its purpose is bloodshed. It gets drunk off human bloodshed.
“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints…” Revelation 17:6
“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” Revelation 18:24
