What is The Cut?

The word “Covenant” in the Hebrew language is the English translation #H1285 “beriyth” which means to “cut” or “cutting”; a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh), a league. This definition is taken from “The Bible with Strong’s.”

All creation is born into the covenant. The first covenant was given to Adam, the Edenic covenant is found in Genesis 2:15.

The second covenant is the Adamic covenant and is found in Genesis 3:9-21.

The blood of innocent animals was shed to cover their sin. This evidently became the acceptable method of atoning for one’s sins, an acceptable sacrifice in the eyes of God.

“Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21

In the process of time, Cain and Abel bought a sacrifice as an offering before God. Cain’s sacrifice was composed of the fruit of the ground and was rejected. Abel’s sacrificed sheep of his herd. Abel’s sacrifice was accepted, being called a more excellent sacrifice. What’s the difference? Obedience!

Cain refused to change by persisting in operating under the old order of covenant that his father Adam walked in. His father, Adam, made a presentation of the fruit that came from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Abel’s offering involved the shedding of blood; thus, we have an observation of the original Cut made by God in the Garden of Eden.

Noah and the Cut

Genesis 9, is the first time we have an actual definition of the covenant or the Cut. The Cut becomes a natural physical statement that can be seen with the eyes, and it foreshadows the greatest of all God’s promises, the ultimate cut that was made upon the cross, the crucified Christ.

In Genesis 8:20-22

“And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and TOOK OF EVERY CLEAN BEAST; AND OF EVERY CLEAN FOWL, AND OFFERED BURNT OFFERINGS on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

IN verse 9,

“And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, and I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; and with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.”

Verse 12-13

“And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I DO SET MY BOW IN THE CLOUD, AND IT SHALL BE FOR A TOKEN OF A COVENANT BETWEEN ME AND THE EARTH.”

The word “token” as taken from the Hebrew language and translated into English, is the word “oth” defined as a signal, flag, beacon, sign. Taken from The Bible with Strongs, #H225.

God makes provisions, gives blessings and grace in connection with the Cut, which becomes a covenant. In Genesis 9:1-17

The Rainbow is a sign, a mark, flag (an oath) to those in covenant with him.

The Rainbow to me is God’s sworn agreement to me. When I see it in the sky, it is a natural physical signature, God’s signature promising safety, provision, and grace.

Unfortunately this is why I pay $348.00 a month in auto insurance. The cost of doing business is passed on to the community. Yet, I know my warfare is not with flesh and blood. Our warfare is against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.

The cost, no matter whose fault or what someone couldn’t do or didn’t do, is passed on to everyday hard working people. The war in Ukraine is not our fault yet we are paying extremely high gas prices. Certain people are being made rich and its not in their interest to change their ways of doing things to take the pressure off of us!

Ephesians 6:10, “Finally, my brethren, BE STRONG IN THE LORD, and IN THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT.”

Notice, the promise said, ‘Be strong in the LORD and in the power of his might.’

The Word of God said, ‘Be strong in the LORD and in the power of his might.’

In others words claim the promises

‘For our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against unseen forces in high places.’

Ephesians 6:10-14 defines who our warfare is against and what we need to do in order to be successful in the battle against these unseen forces.

God knows how to take back what the enemy stole from you! God not only knows how to take back but he adds sevenfold to it.

Jacob

Jacob’s mother’s family were conniving people. Jacob’s mother, Rebekah taught him how to steal the birth right from brother Esau, Genesis 27:1-17. Esau sought to kill Jacob and Rebekah found out about it and send Jacob to her brother’s Laban’s house (Genesis 27:41-46). She not only hatched a plan but she lied to her husband Isaac to cover her tracks.

But this is my point, Jacob is in this situation in his uncle’s house, where his uncle lied to him and changed his wages ten times. Jacob is in a powerless situation. He is in a situation that his mother caused and he is suffering from it.

“And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; BUT GOD SUFFERED HIM NOT TO HURT ME.”

What did God Do?

“Thus God hath taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.” Genesis 31:9

How did God do it?

“If he said thus, The speckled shall be thy wages; then all the cattle bare specked: and if he said thus, The ringstraked shall be thy hire; then bare all the cattle ringstraked. Thus hath God taken away the cattle of your father, and given them to me.” And it came to pass at the time that the cattle conceived, that I lifted up mine eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the rams which leaped upon the cattle were ringstraked, speckled, and grisled. AND THE ANGEL OF GOD SPAKE UNTO ME IN A DREAM, SAYING, JACOB: AND I SAID, HERE AM I. And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grilled: FOR I HAVE SEEN ALL THAT LABAN DOETH UNTO THEE.” Genesis 31:8-12

God gave Jacob a strategy through a dream

Read Genesis 30:31-43, for it tells exactly what the angel revealed to Jacob in the dream, what Jacob did and what happened. Also take special notice of the process, for example, you will see phrases like, “and it came pass” or increase and multiplication would come in seasons. Your harvests will come in seasons.

Proverbs 6:31,

The Word of God says, ‘if the thief be caught he shall restore sevenfold, he shall give all the portions of his house’. I believe God says, I see what the thief is doing to you. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly, the thief comes to steal kill and destroy (John 10:10).

The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous, Proverbs 13:22

“For God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy to a man who is good in His sight; but to the sinner He gives the work of gathering and collecting, that he may give to him who is good before God. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.” Ecclesiastes 2:26

When I was coming up, we were victims not understanding what we had a covenant right to. That through Jesus Christ, we were connected to something so much greater than what we could beg, scrape and cry for in the world.

Mary, the Mother of Jesus prayed a prayed recorded in Luke 1:46-55, here are some of the promises:

1. He regards the low estate of his people
2. God is mighty, does great things and He is Holy
3. He mercy is upon them that fear him from generation to generation
4. His arm is mighty and manifests in strength and power
5. He scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts
6. He puts down the mighty from their seats
7. He exalted them of low degree
8. He hath filled the hungry with good things
9. He sent the rich away empty

You have take by force,

This is what Jesus said, Matthew 11:12, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take by force.”

Jesus doesn’t cordon violence but I believe he is saying be tedious about what you have a right to. In Mark 5:25-34, The woman who suffered from an issue of blood , suffered 12 long years. Spend all her money, seeking a cure but found none. She heard about Jesus and against the laws and customs of her people, touched the hem of his garment and was made whole.

I want to be made whole of all that the wicked as stolen through fraud, deceit and unjust insurance rates and fees. The world may have the right to pass on their lost to others but I have a legally right through Jesus Christ to be made whole! Grace and peace

The Black Hand is another name to describe the Mafia. Whereas, the Invisible Hand of greed is another given to describe capitalism. Both hands have amassed resources from others to enrich their coffers. There is also a third hand operating unseen; he is called the Thief, Devourer, the Deceiver, the god of this world who blind the minds of unbelievers.

“And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.” Mark 4:15

Fowls of the air came and devoured it up, Mark 4:15

The wicked one comes and catches away, Matthew 13:19

The devil comes and take away the word out of their hearts, Luke 8:12

The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy, John 10:10

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, AND HE SHALL NOT DESTROY THE FRUIT OF YOUR GROUND; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:11

Make the enemy pay back

The goal is to keep more of what God blesses you with; instead of the enemy stealing more of what you have earned. The enemy steals through fraud and deceit; unjust insurance rates and fees. While we acknowledge such fees and premiums have been legally sanctioned by city, state and federal governments; those fees have been set based on theft rates. Most businesses are recuperating their losses by passing on the cost of doing business to their customers. Therefore, I claim sevenfold of all that has been stolen through fraud and deceit based on Proverbs 6:30-31; Ecclesiastes 2:26 & Malachi 3:11.

“Be strong in the LORD and in the power of his might”, Ephesians 6:10

The same power God used to raise Jesus from the dead and set him at his right hand is the same power that is mightily working on our behalf, Ephesians 1:19-20

God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according the power working in us, Ephesians 3:20

Some people might say, we don’t have a right to the sevenfold return

Jesus inherited all things (Hebrews 1:2) and I am a heir of God and a joint heir with Christ

Furthermore, ALL THINGS belong to us

“Therefore let no man glory in men. FOR ALL THINGS ARE YOURS; whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come, ALL ARE YOURS; and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.” 1 Corinthians 3:21-23

Secrets From the Garden of Eden

One of the Secrets from the Garden of Eden is the concept of covenant. The Hebrew definition of covenant is “CUT”. The idea of covenant originated with God. God chose to enter into a covenant with Adam. The closest word to help us understand covenant in western culture that I have found is the word, ‘contract.’ Covenant has a much more stronger deeper meaning than the word, ‘contract.’

Before the fall of Adam in the Garden of Eden, God made a covenant with Adam in Genesis 2:15-17. God made a second covenant with Adam and Eve in Genesis 3:15, by promising them a redeemer.

In Genesis 3:21, God shed the blood of innocent animals to make a covering “clothes” for Adam and Eve.

In Genesis 4:1-6, this fact is demonstrated in the sacrifices that Cain and Abel offered God. Cain’s offered a fruit based offering and Abel offered a blood sacrifice. God rejected Cain’s sacrifice and He accepted Abel’s sacrifice.

However events unfolded after the sacrifice, Cain was angry enough about it to kill his brother. What I think happen; God blessed Abel in the works of his hands. Hebrews 11:3, said, God testified of Abel’s gift.

On the other hand, Cain struggled in the works of his hands and became depressed. God dealt with Cain about his attitude but he refused to listen and ended up killing his brother.

“For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another, not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. AND WHY DID HE MURDER HIM? BECAUSE HIS WORKS WERE EVIL AND HIS BROTHER’S RIGHTEOUS.” 1 John 3:11-12 (NKJV)

The point being, COVENANT obligates God to you and you to God. God’s original promise was to bless Adam and Eve, (Genesis 1:28) If Adam had finished his assignment, his reward was the tree of life. He had freedom to eat from all the trees in the garden.

After the Flood, God made a covenant with Noah and his family. God gave the rainbow as a sign of that Covenant.

The next covenant that God made was with Abraham and his seed. The Seed of Abraham is what connects us to the promises of God’s blessings. In Genesis 12:1-3, God makes a promise to bless Abraham and make him a blessing. Then in Genesis 22:15-18, God, who had previously entered into a covenant with Abraham tested him by asking him to offer up his son, Isaac, as a burnt sacrifice. After Abraham successfully passed the test, God makes a promise based on a SWORN OATH.

“Then the Angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, and said, “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your son BLESSING I WILL BLESS YOU, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; AND YOUR DESCENDANTS SHALL POSSESS THE GATES OF THEIR ENEMIES.” (NKJV)

Galatians 2:16, tells us that Jesus Christ was the Seed to whom the promises were made.

In Galatians 3:13,

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), THAT THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM MIGHT COME UPON THE GENTILES IN CHRIST JESUS, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

“And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29

What was God’s promise? I SWEAR BYSELF THAT IN BLESSING I WILL BLESS YOU… The blessing is a God idea. The concept of blessing never originated with man. Man was made a recipient of the blessing.

God also promised Abraham, You and your seed will possess the gate of your enemies.

The power of the covenant is in its ability to bless you and increase you.

‘He that hath the son hath LIFE…’ (1 John 5:12)

“And this is the promise that He has promised us; eternal life.” 1 John 2:25

Life is working on you and in you to prosper you. Just as the Serpent was cursed and is being cursed, anything that’s working against you to reduce you, you have the right to overcome it, to subdue it. You have the right to be fruitful and to be multiplied

But problem is, people don’t know their rights and privileges. They don’t know how to claim the promises. For example, Abraham always wanted a son, someone to give an inheritance. His wife Sarah was unable to bear children. God made Abraham a promise to give him a son in his old age. When Abraham was 99 years old and Sarah was 90 and barren, Abraham was strong in faith giving God the glory and God COUNTED his faith as RIGHTEOUSNESS. The Spirit of God came upon Abraham and Sarah, giving them the ability to bring forth a Son in their old age (Romans 4:17-22).

The same Spirit that came upon Abraham and Sarah enabling them to bring forth a son in their old age, is the same Spirit through a sworn oath promise is given unto us to bring forth fruit in our troubles! It comes through faith. This faith walk is something that you do day in and day out.

“That the blessing of Abraham might COME ON THE GENTILES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST; that we might RECEIVE THE PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH FAITH.” Galatians 3:14

Take the word of God and make it yours!

The systems of the world.

“Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. For my people have committed TWO EVILS; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken, cisterns, that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:11-13 (KJV)

Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all those other things will be added unto you.
