The Anointed Cherub
“Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God, thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so; thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created, till iniquity was found in thee.” Ezekiel 28:11-15 (KJV)
How the Serpent became Satan, the Devil, and the great Dragon
Before the Serpent became Satan, the Devil, and the great Dragon, he was created to be a priestly cherub. He was placed in the holy mountain of God as the Anointed Cherub. He is described as the total sum, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. His musical instruments were created in him. His priestly garments were adorned with jewels. He had access to the garden of Eden. It appears that he was brooding over the stones of fire. These stones of fire became a point of contention. However, he was perfect in his ways from the day he was created until iniquity was found in his heart.

“By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.” Ezekiel 28:16 (KJV)
The Bible says, ‘Let your lifestyle be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have for God says I will never leave you or forsake you.’
Definition of covetousness is “greedy, acquisitive, grasping, avaricious mean having or showing a strong desire or especially material possessions. Covetous implies inordinate desire often for another’s possessions.” Online Dictionary
The Anointed Cherub wanted to be God. He wanted all the power. He wanted the praise and the glory. So he set about overthrowing God from his throne. Isaiah 14:12-14, tells us what he planned and what he said in his heart, composed of five “I wills”,
I will ascend into heaven
I will exalt my throne above the stars of God
I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation in the sides of the north
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds
I will be like the highest
“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness…” Ezekiel 28:17a-b (KJV)
“Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thy traffick…” Ezekiel 28:18a (KJV)
Revelation 12:3, says ‘the great red dragon, with his tail, drew a third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth.’
my personal opinion on what “the traffick” might be, is the anointed cherub created division within the angelic ranks through spinning conspiracies.
God judges to the Covering Cherub:
Ezekiel 28:16-18 (KJV)
I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God
I will destroy thee, O covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire
I will cast thee to the ground
I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee
I will bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee
I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee

The Prince of this world
“And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” Luke 4:5-7 (KJV)
“If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)
“We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the power and control of the evil one.” 1 John 5:19 (NLT)
“And there was war in heaven: Micheal and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevail not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.” Revelation 12:7-11 (KJV)
Ruler
In the scriptures passages above, we see the scope of the Serpent’s influence. The Serpent deceived Adam in the garden of Eden, became the Devil, Satan, and the great dragon. He has a kingdom, angels, children and seed. His rule is worldwide. He blinds and deceives. He is a thief that comes to steal, kill and destroy. He even has a dedicated priesthood, Revelation 18:15-24. He obtained a place in heaven before God where he stood day and night bringing accusations against the people of God until he was taken out of the way.
Temptation of Christ
In Luke’s gospel, Satan tempted Jesus three times, by trying to get him to turn a stone into bread, offering him the power and glory of the kingdoms of the world and by trying to get him to force the hand of God. Jesus was tempted in all points as we are yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15 KJV).
Satan tempts more people with the first temptation, that is, trying to turn stones into bread. Jesus addressed the issue of food, water, clothes and shelter in Matthew 6:24-34, by saying, you can’t serve two masters. He said, ‘if God takes care of little things like birds and grass, won’t he also provide for you?’ Then Jesus said, “O ye of little faith.” To be daily consumed with making money is really a small use of faith. Jesus told his disciples to seek first the kingdom of God and righteousness and all those other things shall be added unto you.’
This is why God gave man the Sabbath rest and He rained bread from heaven in the form of manna for forty years in the days of the Children of Israel’s journey in the wilderness.

“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposely in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed aboard; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increases the fruits of your righteousness;).” 2 Corinthians 9:6-10 (KJV)
Prince of the power of the air
“And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 2:1-2
The connection
The connection between the Queen of Heaven and the great goddess Diana, is the prince of the power of the air. The Queen of Heaven and the great goddess Diana are servants to the one known as the Serpent, Satan, the Devil and the Dragon. Jesus gives us insight into his position, power and authority.
“…I beheld Satan as lighting fall from heaven…”
“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lighting fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Not withstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you, but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20
Prince of this world
“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” John 14:30
“The prince of this world is judged”, John 16:11
“Because he knoweth that he hath but a short time” Revelation 12:12
Cast out of heaven to the earth, Revelation 12:7-11
His kingdom shall come to ruins suddenly, in one day, death, mourning, famine, utter destruction, Revelation 18:8
One angel will cast him into a bottomless pit, Revelation 20:1-2
His final destination is the lake of fire and brimstone, Revelation 20:10
Sons of Disobedience
What is unique about this passage of scripture in Ephesians 2:2, is that it describes the prince of the power of the air as working in and through children of disobedience. We know the Serpent gained seed after Adam’s fall because God said,
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15
When know throughout history, that when Satan gains the upper hand on a situation he brings destruction but when people take responsibility, they end up overthrowing the devil’s works.
The Serpent has seed, children that will listen to him and carry out his will.
“He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.” Matthew 13:37-39
Jesus tells us that Satan has the ability to sow seed. If you want to see the Devil’s, look at his children.

The great goddess Diana
Acts 19:24-28 (KJV)
“For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, which made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain unto the craftsman; whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, Sirs, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth. Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands: so that not only this our craft is in danger to be set at nought; but also that the temple of the great goddess Diana should be despised, and her magnificence should be destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worshippeth. And when they heard these sayings, they were full of wrath, and cried out, saying, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.”
What is in your Hands?
Are you building shrines or are you sowing seed?
The Apostle Paul was sent to Ephesus to share “the way” with the city of Ephesus. He found twelve believers and set about to share “the way” with anyone who would listen. the Bible says,
“And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came upon them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve.” Acts 19:6-7 (KJV)
The apostle Paul and those twelve believers began to minister “the way”. The Apostle Paul started ministering in a synagogue for about three months. The people would not listen so they went into the school of Tyrannus for about two years.
“And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: so that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” Acts 19:10-12
Notice the process; the Apostle Paul found twelve believers and he laid his hands on them and they received the gift. The Apostle Paul and the twelve believers reach all Asia with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul. People were healed of disease and delivered from demon possession.
In Acts 19:13-17, Seven sons of Sceva a chief of priest attempted to cast out a devil in Jesus name. The evil spirit in the man said, “Jesus I know and Paul I know but who are you?” Why did this evil spirit challenge these men? It appears it was a faith failure because there were others who also worked miracles in the name of Jesus and were successful ( Luke 9:49 ). However, the evil spirit knew, they had no power. This evil spirit knew it could resist powerless believers and didn’t have to give up his territory.
“And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.” Acts 19:16 (KJV)
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (KJV)
Jesus said, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18
When this situation with the seven sons of Sceva was known many people believed. Something miraculous happen. The Bible says,
“And many believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.” Acts 19:18-19 (KJV).
The New Living Translation put the price of the value of the books at about several million dollars. It was at this point that Demetrius the silversmith started a riot.
A lot of times, what we have in our hands isn’t working because we don’t work it. A doctor practices medicine. A lawyer practices law. They aren’t perfect and may not win every case, but for certain the really committed ones don’t give up. What’s in your hands?
