The Whore of Babylon, seen in Revelation 17, is said to represent the United States in scripture. Some say the Whore of Babylon is the Catholic Church.

It is my belief that the woman seated on the red beast represents the kingdom of darkness riding on the back of governmental systems of man on the earth.

It is also Satan’s system of worship. This woman is called the mother of  whoredoms and abominations of the earth. She has a cup in her hand filled with the blood of Jesus’ servants. She is drunk off this blood. This cup is filled with human blood. The blood of sacrifice. It represents a worship system. 

All human bloodshed

Revelation 18:24, says, “And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon te earth.” 

In other words, the kingdom of darkness, Satan’s system of worship, is behind all human bloodshed.

I included this video as evidence of bloodshed, not by the United States or the Catholic Church. This video is a documentary of the bloodshed perpetrated by the leadership of Japan under the Prime Minister of  Japan during ww2, Hideki Tojo.

This is typical of the bloodshed by all nations, the British, the French, the United States, China, and the Soviet Union; the list is endless.

The reality is as the Bible says, in Ephesians 6:12

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Jesus makes reference to Satan’s throne in Revelation 2:13. Jesus, speaking to the church of Pergamos, said ‘I know your works and where you live, even where Satan’s seat is…’

His activity

God asked Satan twice, “Where are you coming from?” (See Job 1:7 & 2:2). Since we know God is all-knowing and everywhere at the same time, he has to know what Satan is doing at all times. So God is not asking for his sake but for our sake.

God wants us to know our enemy. We know Satan gained seed in the fall of Adam. God set perpetual warfare between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent, meaning that God was not going to allow Satan to make the human race into slaves. There is a godly seed and an evil seed.

By Genesis 6, Satan was able to influence the whole earth to commit acts of violence. Every thought and imagination of the heart was only to do evil.

BUT God found one man, Noah and his family.

Satan has to work through people to exert influence over creation

God invested dominion over all creation in man. Dominion is exclusive to the human race on Earth.

Also see, “How Detroit Became the Murder Capital: The Drug Lords Who took Over.” This is an excellent documentary on how the cocaine trade was developed in the city of Detroit. 

I lived in Detroit during the seventies when Young Boys Incorporated, Black Killers (BK), and the Errol Flynns were coming to power. I lived amid those violent years of the drug wars. I saw the effects of crack cocaine on the citizens of Detroit. Satan could not have as much influence unless people yielded their life force to him.

Insight

It is incredible how Satan uses people! The Catholic Church and the Mafia originated from the same land. Both continue to have a worldwide impact. One preaches the blood sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the other sacrifices the blood of untold millions of people all over the Earth.
