Jesus cursed the fig tree to illustrate man’s dominion over creation.
God expects us to exercise dominion over the earth.
God gave man dominion over all the works of his hands. One of the things he said to do is subdue it, Genesis 1:28. He never took that dominion from Adam.
Mankind has been deceived out of their right to exercise dominion. Revelation 12:9 says Satan deceives the whole world
Satan twisted his tongue and taught him how to curse his course.
Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Jesus stills the stormy seas
Mark 4:35-41
There is no doubt that Satan used a storm to try to stop Jesus from getting to the other side of the sea. JESUS rebukes the storm, and it dies down. There are some very powerful lessons in this event. Jesus expected his disciples to speak to the sea and calm it down.
How many disasters have the saints of God allowed to come into their region or cities simply because no one dared to speak to the storms?
Jesus said, “Have faith in God”
Faith does not come suddenly unless God grants you the gift of faith! Strong faith comes out of a lifestyle devoted to the worship of God.
Jesus talks about little faith. He said, “O ye of little faith.” He also, “Where is your faith.” He said, “Why did you doubt?”
We have all been through tests and trails, but we stayed the course and fought the good fight of faith.

1 John 3:13
“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.” (KJV)
I never really understood this concept until I made the connection between the kingdom of darkness and the system of man. People are not naturally disposed to hate. Hating is something that they learn from the society in which they grow up.
Satan hates people. Jesus said, ‘He is a murderer and liar from the beginning.’ Satan does not abide in truth.
Jesus said that Satan is the prince of this world. Ephesians 2:1-2 said, ‘Satan is the prince of the culture of this world system. He works through people to spread his message of hate.’
Satan has to work through people to spread his message of hate. Because legally, God gave dominion to man to rule over the earth.
It is the kingdom of darkness working through the world system of things that spread hatred through people.
The Wine of Satan’s Wrath
For example, Revelation 18:3 says the kingdom of darkness in alliance with the kings and merchants will make the nations drunk off of the wine of the wrath of his rage.
“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath…”
Another scripture in Revelation 12:12 says
“Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.”
God cast Satan out of heaven down to earth, Revelation 12:9. Satan was cast out of heaven down to the earth because God’s message of salvation and grace has come to the human race!
We overcome Satan through the blood and name of Jesus. God has re-esblished his connection with man. He has given him the tools and equipment to defeat the forces of darkness on earth.
Satan has to discredit the name of Jesus. He inspires people to mock the name; to use it in curse words.
Once people don’t know the power of the name and blood of Jesus, Satan moves in for the kill.
What does it mean to be drunk off of wine?
According to Google, wine makes you tipsy, dizzy, and chatty.
A person drunk off of wine, hard liquor or intoxicated on drugs makes bad decisions. A person drug off of power makes bad decisions. They are confused. They talk of their pain and sorrows.
You have some ideas of Satan making people drunk off of his hatred.
To be drunk off the wine of Satan’s wrath means he overwhelms you with punches and scratches. He kills, steals, and destroys. His attacks come one after and another until you become dizzy with affliction.
Isaiah 24:20, “The earth shall reel to and from like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgressions thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.”
You have to enforce Satan’s defeat
Revelation 12:12
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
The overcomers valued the Blood and Word of the gospel of Jesus Christ above any benefits they can get in this world’ system of things.
When Satan comes to attack, the overcomers know that God swore every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
They know that God swore by himself, that Jesus Christ shall be a priest forever, Psalms 110:1-4. They know that behind and the back of Jesus is all the power of God.
Isaiah 45:23 (KJV)
“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”
Evil spirits know Jesus!
Acts 19:13-20
The seven sons of Sceva tried to cast out an evil spirit in the name of Jesus. The evil spirits said, ‘Jesus, I know and Paul I know, but who are you?’ One man in whom the evil spirits dwelled overcame seven men.
Many believers are going to be defeated like the seven sons of Sceva simply because they have no experience in applying the name, power, and blood of Jesus Christ!
They have cursory knowledge. Their love and focus on the things of this world outweigh their devotion and dedication to the will, plan, and purpose of God.
Things are increasingly deteriorating, little by little, every day in every way, your perceived advantage in this world’s system of things will melt away.
As Jesus said, it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom of God. Learn your rights and privileges, your inheritance!

There is a stripping of personal resources. The system of the world strips people.
Revelation 18:5 ‘Her sins have reached heaven. God hath remembered her iniquities’

I took this photo in the store of a garden and lawn section on September 27, 2024. They have put up their Halloween and Christmas displays.
They are advertising two different seasons. Halloween is 30 days away, and Christmas is about three months away. Retailers jumped past Thanksgiving, putting pressure on people to buy now, to spend money they don’t have!
The world system of things is pushing people into this state of mental confusion. Revelation 18:3 describes it as “drunk on the wine of wrath.”
The merging of seasons; pressure is going to be exceedingly fierce. The pressure to sell and buy.
Debt is going to push people over the edge into the one world global system of the beast.
These double displays and increases in the cost of living are mentally conditioning people for defeat.
There is another system
It is God’s system. His system is perfect, Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Jesus’ prayer
I have given them thy word:
- I have given thy word and the world hated them, John 17:14
- They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world, John 17:14
- Keep them from evil in the world, John 17:15
- Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth, John 17:17
What is truth?
- All flesh is grass, and the glory of man is as the flower of the field. The grass withers and the flower fades, Isaiah 45:6-8
- God has sworn by himself, and the word has gone forth, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, Isaiah 45:22-23
God has given us an inheritance through his Son Jesus Christ!
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” Colossians 1:12-13 (KJV)
It is a heavenly system, God’s original system!
The problem
- People don’t know that God’s system exists. They don’t know what it is
- They are stuck in the system of the world
- If they know the system, they have very little experience in it.
Part of the problem is that they love the world. They are beholden to it.
In Revelation 17, when the Apostle John was given revelation of the Babylonian system of worship, he was impressed by it
“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel…” Revelation 17:6-7a
God exposed the Babylonian system of worship, government, and commerce. When John saw it, it amazed him. He was impressed by it until the angel questioned him about his response to what he was seeing.
A lot of us are woefully uninformed about the system of the world. We take comfort in its social security system, it technologies, it medical profession, the educational institutions, and the military! Yet, it is a system drunk off the blood of the saints.
Come out of her, my people
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
When do we start coming out?
It is a daily decision! For example, Jesus said concerning the kingdom of God,
“If any man gave ears to hear, let him hear. And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken that which he hath.” Mark 4:23-25
Simply put, take heed to the word of God. Put the word of God into operation by acting upon it. The more you receive and sow, the larger your harvests. Your harvest will be the resources you need to overcome the pressures of this world.
