Adam inherits a system
God planted a garden eastward in Eden. There he put the man to dress and keep it. Two primary purposes for the trees of the garden:
“And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. AND out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis 1:8-9
Two primary purposes
Two purposes for the Garden of Eden: Beauty and Utility. Adam’s job was to replicate heaven on earth. Always have been God’s will. The Lord’s Prayer according to what Jesus taught his disciples in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come.Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The two trees of the garden were Adam’s tools. One tree could give eternal life. The other tree whose fruit was used a sacrifice of worship which Adam ate would produce the cursed.
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” Galatians 3:13
God Becomes Man
John 3:1-3
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
John 1:14
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
The Sacrifice
“The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” John 1:29
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The Revelation of Jesus Christ
Revelation 1:1
“THE Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his servant John.”
The revelation of Jesus Christ is that he became the perfect sacrifice, the perfect solution to the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Not only did Jesus become the perfect solution to curse that came from eatting the fruit of the tree of the. knowledge of good and evil, But the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil gave us the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice.
The book of Revelation is a book transitioning into God’s eternal plans.
Look at Revelation 22:1-5, the exact same set up as in Genesis, chapter 2 but in place of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you have the Lamb of God seated on the throne of God. Why the image of the Lamb on the throne of God? Why not say Jesus Christ seated on the throne of God?
The system, the Garden of Eden was always- from the beginning- created to be a system based on worship. If Adam had not sinned and completed his assignment, heaven would have moved to earth. Revelation 21:3, “Behold the tabernacle God is with men”
The scriptures in Revelation 22, pick up where Adam was suppose to have led creation into!
Revelation 22:3-5
“And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; his servants shall servant him: and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be an no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
You have God in paradise, the river of life, the tree of life and the Lamb of God and man. in the big picture, you had the tithe in the beginning and you will have it for all eternity!
What is the lesson of the tithe?
