Let him…

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11

Revelation 22:11 appears to be saying; whatever decision a person makes, let him make it. There seem to be those who have already made decisions to follow their own minds. So whatever decision they make, so be it.

This is a hard saying in the Bible. But in the next verse (12) Jesus says,’behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me to give to everyone according to his works!

God declares the earth belongs to him and everything within it. Every human being belongs to him, Psalms 24:1. Every tree in the field, every cattle on a thousand hills belong to him Psalms 50:10-12.

He created all things for his pleasure, Revelation 4:11,

Yet we see evil… We may not understand why darkness is so persuasive and how it rules society on many different levels. I pay the highest auto insurance rate in the nation, not because I am a bad driver. I just happen to live in a city with a high auto theft rate. So everyone in my city is judged based on what a small minority of evil wicked people do. Wickedness drives the economy! It influences people’s decisions on many different levels.

For example, James 4:13-17

“Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing are evil. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Justice and judgment are a habitation of hHs throne, Psalms 89:14-37

It may seem like wickedness is winning, but wait a minute! James 5:1-7 says the rich wicked shall weep and howl for the miseries that shall come upon them. Their riches are corrupted. Their gold and silver are cankered. The destruction of it will eat the flesh like fire!

But the opposite is true for those who learn to wait on the LORD. See John 17:2; Psalms 37; Ecclesiastes 2:26

The whole world lieth in wickedness

1 John 5:19, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” (KJV)

1 John 5:19, “We know that we are children of God and all the rest of the world around us is under Satan’s power and control.” (Living Bible)

Our daily battles are not with flesh and blood but against Satan and his government. Although people may not know that they are being used to attack people, the truth is that Satan uses people to carry out his wicked works.

For one such case happened within my own neighborhood. A lady was shot in the chest and striped of her car keys. The murderer took items from her pocket book and fled the scene. The thief can’t keep the car because every police agency will be looking for that vehicle. It was a satanic hit.

The god of this world

The apostle Paul called him the god of this world, 2nd Corinthians 4:4

Jesus, in his day, rightly called Satan the prince of this world, see John 14:30, but there was no sin in Jesus whereby Satan could leverage it to overcome him.

Or the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness when Satan offered him the kingdoms of this world, their power and their glory, if he would fall down before him and worship him. See Luke 4:5-8

He is the prince of the power of the air who rules through children of disobedience! Ephesians 2:1-2.

His kingdom is described as the Queen of Heaven. According to Revelation 17:18,

“And the woman which thou saw is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”

He deceives the world, Revelation 12:9

He uses drugs to deceive all nations, Revelation 18:23

He makes all nations drunk through manipulation of their leaders, Revelation 18:3

Jesus said, the prince of this world is judged, John 16:11. In other words, Satan days are numbered. Jesus defeated Satan and took the keys of death, and hell, Revelation 1:18.

Satan is captured, chained, and thrown into a bottomless pit and shut up for 1000 years, Revelation 20:1-3

There is an end to the wickedness. According Revelation 10:6-8, Time shall be no more!
