When I first came to faith in Jesus Christ many years ago, the Genesis account of creation seemed like a fantasy. I struggled through my earlier years. In debt, defeated and frustrated until I finally understood I had a choice, I could determine my destiny by the choices I made and the seed I sow.
As a younger believer, I studied the New Testament of the Bible. I also studied the Old Testament as well. My breakthrough came when I understood that Jesus was ministering to people who understood “covenant.” They were taught it, lived it.
As a Gentile believer, covenant was a foreign concept. I was born into a democratic capitalist constitutional governed land. I was taught the business concept of contracts and handshakes 🤝 .
When I searched for the first contract (covenant), it was found in the book of Genesis 2:15-17.
The first partnership was in the book of Genesis. So were these concepts called Dominion, Seed, and Life.
When looking at Genesis chapter 1, God demonstrates Dominion. He creates things with words by saying, “Let there be, and it was created.
God creates seed with the ability to contain and produce life. In every seed is the blueprints for life, Genesis 1:12, “…whose seed is in itself”
Life is an eternal power source, from Genesis 2:7, where God forms man’s body from the dust of the ground. Gid breathed the breath of LIFE into Adam’s nostrils, and man became a “living soul”
To Genesis 2:10, a river came out of Eden to water the Garden. The river was divided into four rivers that flowed into the earth
To Revelation 22:1 where a pure river of water of life proceeding from the throne of God watered the tree of life.
In John 4:10-14, the gift of God is living water; water that has life in it that satisfies every thirst.
John 7:37-38, rivers of living water
John 5:26, the Father has “life” in himself and given to the Son to have “life” in himself
We never understood this stuff called life and how it works. We can see examples of it when we sow seed into the ground, and it becomes a plant that produces fruit. Or a sperm seed can produce a human baby.
This stuff called life heals a human body, making it grow.
What we don’t understand is the spiritual components of life and how it works.
For example, God created the heavens and the earth by speaking words.
He didn’t stop there, He told us, John 1:1-4
“In the BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the BEGINNING with God. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM; AND WITHOUT him was not anything MADE that was MADE. In him was LIFE; and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men.”
Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit of thereof.”
Your words, spoken out of your mouth, become seeds that will produce a harvest, whether it’s positive or negative. Why
Because the same power source that God has in himself, he has put in you
The Father hath life in himself, given the Son hath life in himself, John 5:26
“AND THIS IS THE RECORD, THAT GOD HATH GIVEN US ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON” 1 John 5:11
Don’t let the word “eternal” confuse you. The word ETERNAL simply describes what LIFE is and does. It is eternal in its results.
John goes on to say,
“He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” 1 John 5:12
God always gives an example of life and how it works. For example, Jesus said, “My words are spirit and life”, John 6:63
1 John 1:1-2, The Word of Life was manifested, his disciples heard it, they saw it with their eyes, they looked upon it and their hands handled it.
Life can be mastered. See James 1:12
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of his flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. ” Galatians 6:7-8

This scripture is in Genesis 1:27,
Let them have Dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over every LIVING thing that has LIFE in it
A person can achieve the highest level of education and yet be broken by the lowest elements of life, an addiction to pain killers, gaming, hate, or drugs.
This dangerous stuff called dominion. The way God chose to deal it is by offering his Son as a sacrifice and sorry to say, even that is not enough for some people.
Being able to receive the love of God is the key to breaking addiction because no matter how great your darkness is; God is greater than your darkness.
God is light, and him is no darkness at all, 1 John 1:5
God alone created light out of darkness. He separated light from darkness. He called the light GOOD- Genesis 1:1-5
He calls people out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
God is rich unto all who call upon his name, Romans 10:12-13
IN HIM was LIFE and the LIFE was the light of man and light shines in the darkness and darkness could not overcome it John 1:1-5
To as many as received him to them gave he POWER… John 1:12
It is possible to be filled with ALL the fullness of God, to be filled with power that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, Ephesians 3:19-20
Wisdom is the principal thing! Wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge. You find God dispensing wisdom throughout the Bible. One such case is in Genesis 4:5-8.
Cain had time to correct his error. God told him to master his sin. Cain had the power to do so. He was duly invested with dominion like all the rest of us over everything that moves upon the earth. OVER everything that has LIFE in it.
Cain chose to kill his brother. That is the beginning of good and evil in a constant battle.
When you are dealing with someone else’s dominion, because that person’s will is involved, you have to depend upon spiritual weapons such as spoken about in Matthew 17:14-21 and 2nd Corinthians 10:3-5.

Troubling trend
No matter how deep, black, dark, or impossible your pit, hole or hell is, there is one that can save you.
The answer is near you and in you! The answer is so very simple, yet most people miss it. LIFE
Life
People often misunderstand this word, this substance is called life, yet it undergirds and sustains all things.
“In Him was LIFE and the LIFE was the light of men and light shines in darkness and darkness comprehended it not” ( John 1:4)
No matter how black it is, how painful, hopeless, impossible, the stuff called LIFE always overcomes darkness. Darkness can not overthrow LIFE
“Then God said, “Let there be LIGHT”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was GOOD; and God divided the light from the darkness.” Genesis 1:3
God commanded light out of darkness. He saw the light that it was good. I heard an interpretation of this scripture years ago, and it went something like this, When God created light, He said, “Light in me Be”
“For as the Father HATH LIFE in himself: so HATH he given to the Son to have LIFE in himself.” John 5:26
LIFE as a gift
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, HATH everlasting LIFE, and shall not come into condemnation, BUT IS PASSED FROM DEATH unto LIFE.” John 5:24
You can be in a black ⚫️ 🖤 dark pit one moment and pass from death to life in the next.
How? The Word, what Word? The Word of Life (1 John 1:1-5). The Word of Life must be in two places- your Heart ❤️ and in your mouth- it is called the Word of faith-
God took this substance called “LIFE” and put it inside of those who will receive it
The process is explained in Romans 10:6-13. This process is so beautiful and wonderful because it is personal, doesn’t cost a dime, and is available NOW!
“But what does it say? “The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart ❤️ that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:8-9
Three people in scripture who came out of dark place
1. King David was in a horrible pit. His feet were stuck in miry clay. God lifted him up and set him on a rock and put a new sound in his heart, Psalms 40:13
2. The prodigal Son fell upon hard times because of bad decisions, yet he understood he could return to his father’s house, read his story, Luke 15:11-32
3. The woman caught in the act of adultery, she had received a death sentence, but Jesus with -15 words- “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”
got her set free from a death sentence, John 8:1-12.
The problem:
-We make our situations worse because of a lack of knowledge
-We feed into powerlessness, not understanding what we have a right to; according to scripture,
“…that as many as RECEIVED him to them gave he POWER…”, John 1:12
The Answer
1 John 5:11-12, he that hath the Son hath LIFE
1 Corinthians 4:6-7, “For God, commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. BUT WE HAVE THIS TREASURE IN EARTHEN VESSELS, THAT THE EXCELLENCY OF THE POWER MAY BE OF GOD, AND NOT OF US.”
What treasure is he talking about? The Word of Life
Jesus said? John 10:10,
“The thief cometh not, bur for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it MORE ABUNDANTLY. “
Know that in this reality wrapped around us, there is a raging battle between good and evil, and you must know how to use the weapons of your warfare. You must fight the good fight of faith, lay hold of the promises, and don’t let go!!!
